Emphasis

This CHIASM about a boy named Eutychus is one of the many miracles in the book of Acts. There are two emphatic parts:

1) The CENTER POINT reveals the main point of the story, that Paul fell on the boy and declared life in him.

2) There is a TRANSPOSITION of A′, noting that Paul continued talking before the boy′s final condition is revealed. Intuitively we know that the recovery of the boy should be the climax. Without understanding how emphasis can move, we might think that the FIRST/LAST rule is being applied to Paul′s message. Paul may have been long winded, but the fact remains that the transposition by the Holy Spirit makes the miracle appear more important.
